Spring Garden Area Business Association

The Spring Garden Area Business Association is an umbrella organization which plans, budgets and administers projects for the district. Teh association is set up to work with businesses in the area to promote the district and to help settle issues of concern. As per ordinance Number 181, the purpose of this Association includes the following:

•  to beautify, improve, enlarge, repair, alter, equip, service, insure and maintain property owned or leased by it;
  
•  to beautify, improve, and maintain property of the City as authorized by the Council;
  
•  to promote the Spring Garden Area as a place for retail and commercial activity; and
  
•  to establish and/or maintain parking facilities

By pooling resources, the Association can produce effective results. For example, effectively managed joint promotions and development will attract people to the Area and maintain it as a vibrant, commercial district. Furthermore, it acts as a liaison with the Municipality and private companies to attain common goals. It also provides a central office for residents, tourists, visitors, etc. to call for information about the Area and its attractions.
