The Filipino Cultural Society of Nova Scotia (FCSNS) is organizing this year's Philippine Fiesta 2023. This cultural event will take place at Garrison Grounds on June 24, 2023.

The theme is "Celebration of Heritage and Identity" which aims to showcase Philippine culture. Feasting Filipino heritage and identity through collaboration with performers, artists, and talents in the local community.

The Philippine Fiesta 2023 events include:

• Traditional food from local Philippine restaurants and establishments

• Shows featuring local musicians, dancers, and artists

• Infographic presentation on Philippine history

• Interactive family activity zones, photobooths, raffle prizes, games, and much more

There will also be special events preceding the Fiesta, such as the Philippine Flag Raising Ceremony at Grand Parade Monday, June 12. There will also be a month-long Philippine Art Exhibit at the Halifax Central Library starting Sunday, June 11.
