November 22 - December 16, 12:00 - 10:00p.m.:. At the epicenter of the Festival, find Evergreen Village nestled along the Halifax waterfront between Bishop’s Landing and the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic. Discover an open-air holiday market, thousands of twinkling lights, and the Festival main stage at the Evergreen Village.
November 23, 6:00 - 7:00 p.m.:. Join The Halifax Regional Municipality on Saturday, for the annual Halifax Christmas Tree Lighting at Grand Parade.
Entertainment this year will include a visit from Santa Claus, fireworks, live music by the Julia Tynes band & dancers, a visit from PAW Patrol SKYE & CHASE and Gabby's Dollhouse Dance Party!
November 30 - December 31, Dusk - 9:00 p.m.:. Join us for the Halifax Public Gardens Holiday Lights presented by the Halifax Regional Municipality and the Friends of the Public Gardens. Between Nov. 30, 2024 and Dec. 31, 2024, the Halifax Public Gardens will be aglow with a festive trail of holiday lights every evening from 5-9 p.m.
December 6, 5:00 - 9:00p.m.:. It’s a night under the stars with Shopping Under The Stars! Join us for a day on Spring Garden as we bring a little holiday magic to the street. On Friday, December 6 we will be closing Spring Garden Road from South Park to Queen Street and converting the street into a Hallmark Movie Scene. The street will be closed to vehicles and open to pedestrians. During the holiday street closure, you can expect to find, large holiday displays for photo opts, holiday trees lining the street, free hot chocolate stations, and a holiday crafters market in Park Lane Mall and Spring Garden Place. Don’t forget to stop by the SGABA booth at Park Lane Spring Garden Road to enter to win some amazing raffle prizes with The Breeze 96.5 FM!
December 6, 6:30 - 7:15p.m.:. Bring the whole family to kick off the holiday season in downtown Halifax! Come check out the sneaky, and very flexible, elves from Studio In Essence as they perform Bendy Snow - a spectacular aerial circus show that will certainly get you in the spirit of the season.
The show will feature various members of the inesS circus community including the junior aerial team and include lots of high-flying acrobatics and silly shenanigans.

On Friday, December 6 from 1 pm-9 pm they will be transforming Park Lane Mall and Spring Garden Place into a holiday market part of Shopping Under the Stars. The market will highlight local makers, artists, and artisans.
December 8, 6:00 p.m.:. We’re overjoyed to announce that we’re bringing back the holiday magic. On Sunday, December 8 at 5 p.m., you’re invited to join us on the streets of downtown Halifax for the spectacular sights and sounds of our beloved 29th Annual Nova Scotia Power Holiday Parade of Lights presented by Eastlink.
