Spring Garden Area Business Association Names New Executive Director
HALIFAX, NS, May 8, 2019 – Spring Garden Area Business Association is pleased to announce its Board of Directors has appointed Sue Uteck as the new Executive Director.
“With Spring Garden Road’s upcoming transformation, there is no better person to lead the Spring Garden Area Business Association than Sue Uteck,” said Lesa Griffin, Chair of the Board of Directors. “Sue has extensive experience in communicating and working with multiple layers of government, while actively engaging and collaborating with citizens and businesses to achieve positive and progressive outcomes. Her vision for the Spring Garden Area is to continue to build the momentum of enhancing the neighborhood by collaborating with all who have an interest in building a city we choose to call home.”
Sue joins the Spring Garden Area Business Association team with decades of experience in the public sector. As a Regional Manager in the not-for-profit sector she was responsible for various programs throughout Atlantic Canada including; connector programs, government relations, as well as programming and partnerships relations. As a Regional Councilor in the Halifax Regional Municipality, Sue always looked for opportunities to strengthen the community through the combined efforts of residents, civic leaders, the business sector and governments.
